Calgary, AB — BAAC Construction is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Miller as Executive Chairperson, strengthening the company’s leadership as it continues to scale operations and

expand its infrastructure platform across North America.

Mark Miller is an experienced public company board leader, senior executive, and serial entrepreneur with a proven track record of building, scaling, and governing complex organizations. His leadership experience spans private and public markets, with a strong focus on strategic growth, capital alignment, and operational execution.

As co-founder of Great Pacific Media, Mark helped build one of Canada’s leading documentary media companies, including the globally recognized Highway Thru Hell franchise. During his tenure, he oversaw the development of multiple production facilities and implemented a structured safety management system and education program. His work also included collaboration with independent filmmakers in Indigenous communities, supporting storytelling and business development within those regions.

Mark later served as President and senior board member at Thunderbird Entertainment, where he played a key role in taking the company public and leading strategic acquisitions, including the acquisition of Great Pacific Media in 2015. His experience in governance, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets has positioned him as a trusted advisor in scaling organizations.

Most recently, Mark was appointed President of Cineflix Vancouver. He currently serves on the boards of Indigifilm, Variety Club of British Columbia, and British Columbia Aviation Council, and is a former board member of Pitt Meadows Airport.


In his role as Executive Chairperson, Mark will provide strategic oversight, governance leadership, and executive mentorship to BAAC Construction’s leadership team. His appointment supports the company’s continued focus on scaling operations, strengthening internal systems, and advancing its position as an integrated infrastructure provider across civil construction, utilities, and telecommunications.
